January in the yarden-what to plant

In Uncategorized on 01/07/2012 by jenn in the yarden

These days, any time i have empty squares, i plant seeds of lettuce, cilantro, parsley, and arugula: my wintertime foursome. Germination is great for practicing patience. However, with the above-80 degree weather we had this week, i’m hopeful that the wait won’t be as excruciating!
My January resolution is to get my sugar snap peas inoculated and in the ground underneath the boxspring. Yes, i know, i know, i’m really late and they should have been bedded down in October(Spring Street Farm Project has plants as tall as my four-year old daughter!). Let my procrastination be a testament to my hopefullness that winter will turn cool and long!
