Care instructions for your Crate Junipers

In Uncategorized on 12/02/2010 by jenn in the yarden

Congratulations on your purchase of a bit of Long Beach history!
The junipers (Juniperus chinensis ‘Torulosa’) in your crate are drought tolerant, but do need attention as long as they’re in the pot.
Water once/week to keep the soil moist but not soggy.
The maximum size is 15-20 feet, so when you are ready to transplant, find an area that will give your trees plenty of room to grow. Water regularly for the first year until it’s established and then only occasionally thereafter.
In a year, you will have a couple of nice outdoor trees to decorate for the holidays!
