Southern Californian gardeners would do well to consider winter as an excellent time for growing food! Too often this cooler season is overlooked and largely forgotten as a viable time to plant and harvest. We have the luxury of cooler, but not freezing temperatures, ie. ideal conditions to grow favorite crops such as lettuce, cilantro, carrots, and broccoli!
